As you know based on initial research, Japan has suffered extensive damage due to the effects of a cataclysmic earthquake and subsequently, a Tsunami which, in addition to causing thousands of injuries and deaths, also heavily damaged several nuclear power plants. I want you to investigate the current situation in Japan regarding the status of the nuclear power plants disaster, addressing the following issues:
Name of nuclear plant or plants in addition to name of/location of these facilities within Japan.
Chronological times/dates of events leading up to the nuclear power plants disaster.
Damages incurred by the nuclear facilities that impact their operation (be specific here!!).
How these damages are affecting the health and safety of the citizens of Japan, and additionally, could also affect the global community as well.
What is being done in terms of corrective action to minimize these impacts to human health and/or associated environmental risks.
What is the prognosis for the future? (i.e., what is the expert opinion currently, as to the ability of the Japanese to fix these problems in the long term??).
You will create a PowerPoint of 7-10 slides. Also, please include a bibliography with at least 4 different sources!! Two must be newspaper articles and at least one should come from a science journal and/or magazine article--put these on the last slide (not included in the 7-10 slide requirement).
